Refresh Your Logo: Tips & Examples
One of the most important aspects of your brand, or website is it’s logo. A Logo is what people most usually identify with your brand.
For example, think of the automobile maker Ford. I bet the first thing you thought of was their blue, oval logo. If this logo had not been done well, or felt outdated, you might get a different feel from the brand.
We’ll explore how to make your logo feel current. by observing current design trends, and looking ahead for future design trends.
Make Some Speakers - Design Your Desk - Part 4
In the fourth part of our “Design Your Desk” series, we’re going to be looking into the creation of a set of speakers for your desktop (or laptop) that we created earlier.
We’ll be creating the main body of the speaker, the front cover, and both the woofer and tweeter from scratch. As well, we’ll texture the body of the speaker with a wood texture. Finally, we’ll make a plain, jet black speaker without the wooden case.

Make a Neat “Glowing Bubble” Wallpaper
This tutorial is our first “request” tutorial from one of our readers. In this tutorial, you’ll be learning how to create a neat glowing orb effect that’s sometimes seen in in advertisements, on websites backgrounds, etc.
This rather versatile effect can be used in a variety of places, but for the purposes of this tutorial we’ll be designing it to be a desktop wallpaper.
Guide to Macro-Style Photography
In this tutorial/tip, you’ll learn how to take macro-style images using your DSLR or point-and-shoot camera.
This tutorial covers how to choose a scene, and how to set up your camera (in the case of a DLSR) to change the overall feel and tone of the picture. As well, we’ll provide you with other resources and examples from around the web to give you inspiration for your new macro images.

In this week’s quick tip, we’re going to explore how to create a nice, clean, minimalistic portfolio layout in Photoshop in a few simple steps. Utilizing neat background images to stage your icons, logos or other work we’ll create a portfolio that focuses the reader’s eye on your work.
Create a Slick Macbook - Design Your Desk - Part 3
In this third edition of PSVibes’ “Design Your Desk” series, we’re going to be taking a look at the creation of a laptop in Photoshop. More specifically, the creation of a white Apple Macbook.
